What's a reasonable price for a Pronovost <br>P-740 snowblower with hydraulic chute, anti-shock valve on the hydro and upgraded shoes?<br>I was shocked to be quoted $ 3,400 by a local dealer today.

A bit of a distance from Maryland, but Keats, Keene, New Hampshire, is a Pronovost dealer (603-352-1510). They had a leftover P-540 in their yard a few weeks ago.

I'm in New hampshire and purchased a TC35D last fall for my 200 acres, about 60 acres of which is hilly hay fields and paddocks. Also have a mile long dirt access road at an 11 degree grade that I maintain with this tractor.
So far I've got just under 200 hours of use with no problems whatsoever. In addition to the FEL, I'm operating an 8' Curtis plow in the winter, a Landpride 2572 rotary cutter, 7' grading blade and rake, and post hole digger. Surprising to me, it also ran my 25kw PTO generator at full load with no problems.
I was initially concerned that the 35 would not have adequate power, but it has performed exceptionally well - don't be concerned about the power difference compared to the 40. However, I would have purchased a TC40D had one been available last fall, simply because I prefer the 4 cyl. engine.

I'm using a Landpride 2572, 72" medium duty cutter with my TC35D and have found it works fine for up to 2" brush and saplings. Cleared about 60 acres of fields that had overgrown for close to ten years last fall, with no problems with the cutter or tractor power.

I've got about 120 hours on my TC35D purchased last fall. Price was probably a premium at $ 26,285 (???), for TC35D 4WD, Hydrostatic trans., R4's loaded, 16LA loader, L.P./RCR 2572 cutter, Curtis plow w/ full hydraulic controls and L.P./LR1584 rake.
Other than some minor hydraulic fluid leakage, experience has been excellent thus far, with excellent service from Keats NH dealer in Keene, NH.
Hydro transmission has had recall for popping out of low gear under load while driving downhill.
